Pascal Hetzscholdt is Senior Director of AI Strategy & Content Integrity at Wiley, a global publisher of scientific research. In this role, he supports legal and technical initiatives related to AI Strategy, AI Governance, and Responsible AI implementations.
Pascal’s work centers on three core areas:
1. Advocating for Ethical and Explainable AI: Establishing robust guardrails to ensure a balance between technological progress and content integrity.
2. Enhancing Accuracy and Attribution: Focusing on AI licensing frameworks, compliance auditing, and the responsible use of content in AI training, applications, and outputs.
3. Innovating at the Intersection of AI and Publishing: Leveraging technological advancements to strengthen content security, integrity, and intellectual property rights.
Before joining Wiley, Pascal worked with Hollywood movie studios, their industry association, and technology vendors on Intellectual Property Rights enforcement, cybersecurity, and navigating the challenges and opportunities of technological innovations and evolving business models. He began his career as a Cybercrime Policy Adviser with the Dutch National Police.
