Grzegorz (Greg) Ombach, PhD is a senior deep-tech executive and board member recognised for scaling businesses and organisations through complex industrial transformations. He brings strategic clarity, operational judgement, and a strong execution focus to fast-moving, highly complex environments.
He serves as Senior Vice President at Airbus, where he leads advanced technology strategy, innovation governance, and venture portfolio oversight across civil, defence, and dual-use domains. His responsibilities include driving technology development and new business models into operational and commercial impact, spanning strategic positioning, portfolio-level investment decisions, and the governance required to transition capabilities from development into industrial deployment.
Alongside his executive responsibilities, Greg serves as a board chair and non-executive director across a range of deep-tech companies operating in AI, Physical AI, robotics, next-generation batteries and energy storage, and advanced materials, including several pre-IPO organisations. His board work focuses on capital allocation, scale-up governance, technology commercialisation, licensing and business model development, M&A oversight, and public-market readiness.
Prior to Airbus, Greg held senior leadership positions at Qualcomm, Siemens, and the Dräxlmaier Group, where he built and scaled technology-driven businesses across the automotive and consumer electronics sectors. Throughout his career, he has led market entry and growth initiatives, delivering innovation and commercial results at global scale.
